Other Artists, Otros artistas

Every time the lines between different artistic disciplines are more diluted and it seems to me to be marvellous, because there is nothing that entertains me more that to happen from one to other one. Painting, prints, fabrics, decoration, fashion, craft, everything what it has to see with the creative thing I like.

Today I bring you two videos of artists I've loved, I hope you enjoy it as much as me. And also a fashion designer, illustrator. A designer that I love what she does.

Serie dedicada a Cádiz

This series dedicated to my hometown Cadiz, I prepared several boards with gesso in the traditional way and then I used mixed media, oil, encaustic...The sizes are 60x60 cm 23 "x23" It is advisable to prepare the tables with traditional gesso because it is beautiful velvety surface.

Jugando con telas. Playing with fabrics

Hoy he estado jugando con telas, botones, romero, perejil...

Today I was playing with fabrics, buttons, rosemary, parsley ... I love the sheer fabrics, are very suggestive. It all started this morning when I thought of doing some design with fabrics. I put a linen fabric on the table and started to combine with sheer fabrics and..., then I thought that was approaching lunchtime and then went down to the garden to look parsley and rosemary and when I returned I thought why not combine the fabrics with herbs and take some pictures and this is the result.

I have some ideas on these fabrics in the photo.

Lo que me inspira. What inspires me

He disfrutado, me he divertido y he sufrido mientras los pintaba.
I'm passionate about the illuminated books of the Middle Ages, and they inspire me to paint this series of engravings monotypes entitled "The Chosen ones" The sizes are 20" x 16" and 16" x 12"

El cielo luminoso
The conceptual idea, which underlies it. The birth of human being. We all have been chosen to be born.

Campos verdaderos
The fragments of poems, are from Garcilaso de la Vega, San Juan de la Cruz, Góngora, Lope de Vega, Fray Luis de Leon ...
Al partir del sol
I've enjoyed, and suffered while painting. I have to capture the atmosphere of the time.

Aguas puras

Los ojos deseados

Hilos de plata

Los valles solitarios

As I began. Como empecé

Siempre he estado dibujando y haciendo cosas creativas.

I've always been drawing and doing creative things. When I was 12 or 13 years I made for my sister paper dolls. But years passed and I decided to paint seriously.

I had been studying in a school of arts and crafts, but I was only 2 courses and I went out, after I was learning drawing in several academies. I also did a course in ceramics.
When I decided to do it professionally, fourteen years ago. I realized that I did not know what type of painting I wanted to do, which line wanted to follow, that technique would be applied. I was so lost, so I had to work to clear all these doubts, and thought if I worked more hours per day, could shorten the learning period and I did for three years painting thoroughly.

I got up in the morning to paint, or it was until 12 pm. painting, only stopping when necessary. It was a hectic stage where I experiment, investigate, I follow thousand different aesthetic lines, copying the masters and I was fighting with the canvas, painted and then blurred the canvas, unsatisfied with what has been achieved and returned to painting went well above and choosing what I wanted to paint and discarding I did not like it. I help myself from books and my own research. It was a tough stage of struggle, but fruitful.

I encourage everyone who start in the world of painting!
